Best Seats For a Concert at Citizens Bank Park
The most common seating layout at Citizens Bank Park for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 101, Section 102 and Section 103. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Field: Sections Field AA, Field BB, Field CC and Field DD are Field Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, field sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the field layout and the views from each field section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 107, Section 108 and Section 109. The view is not head-on like on the field, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 122, Section 123, Section 124 and Section 125 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 101, Section 102, Section 103 and Section 104. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider field seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst field ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 114 and 133 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 433 and 434.

Other Popular Seating Areas
Club Level Down the Line Seating
Although located on the Club Level at Citizens Bank Park, these seats down the baselines do not come with all the bells and whistles of the Phillies Hall of Fame Club seating located in the infield on this second tier.
However fans will still benefit from being located on this smaller level with smaller sections, making trips to concessions and restrooms far easier than in the upper and lower tiers, and free of long lines since as there are fewer seats on this level.
Also known as the Pavilion on the right field side, and the Arcade on the left field side, these seats are far more affordable than the Hall of Fame Club seats in the infield and still have somewhat of an exclusive feel being located on the second tier.
Club Level Outfield Seating
Home run balls are a slight possibility from the Club Level Outfield seats, but the better option is located below in the Field Level outfield seats.
Although located on Citizen Bank Park's second tier (which is also known as the Club Level), these are not premium seats and do not offer any club style amenities.
Be prepared for little to no protection from the sun in these seats, and fans that don't want to turn around 180 degrees to see the video board should avoid the left field portion (known as the Scoreboard Porch sections).
Fans in Section 243 will have the closest seats to Harry the K's Broadcast Bar and Grille, while those near center field will be just a short walk from Ashburn Alley.
Field Level Down the Line Seating
Some of the Best seats in a baseball stadium are located down the lines on the Field Level. Fans who enjoy being close to the action, but don't mind not having premium amenities should sit here.
Located in prime foul ball territory, the sections are well angled toward home plate as you get closer to the foul poles, making for less head turning to catch the action in the infield. Seats on the third base side will see the sun first, while the first base side will be located right by the family friendly Phanatic Phun Zone.
Field Level Infield Seating
If you take a look at the Citizens Bank seating chart, you'll find that the best non-premium seating options are in the Field Level Infield sections. Fans can sit directly behind the Phillies bench in sections 115-118 on the first base side, while sections 129-132 are located directly behind the visitors dugout on the third base side.
Sections 119-128 are located just behind the Diamond Club seats which line the backstop wall behind the home plate, making these sections a bit smaller than those behind the dugout and a will therefore have a shorter and easier walk to the concourses.
Field Level Outfield Seating
Just beyond the outfield walls and on the closest tier to the field of any outfield seating option. The Field Level Outfield sections will be your best chance at catching a home run ball, but will require you to sacrifice shade in order to do so.
Weigh your options on the Phillies seating chart before sitting in the Field Level Outfield sections. The majority of these sections are exposed to the sun for most of the day, however the last four rows of sections 102-107 in right field and 142-145 in left field do provide some relief thanks to the overhanging club level outfield seating above.
Section 101 in right center is a great option for home team fans as the Phillies bullpen is located just below.
Seats on the left field side will have a near impossible view of the large video board, located directly behind the furthest left field sections.
Lower Terrace Down the Line Seating
Similar to the Lower Terrace Infield seating, these sections are located at the front of the upper deck, but these seats run between the corner bases and the foul poles.
On the first base side, fans will be the most exposed sections to the sun during day games, and should be prepared to bring their sunscreen during summer trips to the ballpark.
Further positioning away from home plate gives more distant views, and with fewer concessions and amenities, there are better options to consider on this level in the infield portion.
Lower Terrace Infield Seating
The Terrace level is the highest tier within the inner seating bowl at Citizens Bank Park, and is divided in to the lower and upper seating by a walkway between.
The Lower Terrace Infield is located at the front of the Terrace level between first base and third base, and will provide far superior views than in the Upper Terrace portion above. And while these seats are affordable with some of the most open views, they are also the most exposed area to the sun during day games.
Fans who want to be in the shade might find some relief on the third base side during the late afternoon, while the first base side will be exposed most of the day.
Infield options are the best for concessions on the Terrace Level as most of the team shops, food and beverage options, and the Liberty Bell Pig (for photo ops with the kids) are located behind home plate.
Terrace Level Outfield Seating
Terrace Level Outfield seating is the highest and furthest of all the outfield seating areas at Citizens Bank Park. Don't expect many home run balls to make it all the way up here, but do be prepared to be bring your sunscreen during day games.
With limited amenities near by, the best thing these seats have going for them is the lower price.
Upper Terrace Down the Line Seating
Far views and high seating are what you can expect when sitting in the Upper Terrace sections down the baselines. Undesirable views and lack of concessions leave these seats just one advantage, which is the low ticket price.
Sections on the third base side of the Upper Terrace Down the Line will see the shade first, but will require more head turning to see the impressive video board located in left field (Citizens Bank Park has one of the largest video boards in the National League).
Upper Terrace Infield Seating
At the highest level of seating in Citizens Bank Park, the Upper Terrace seats are where you will find some of the less desirable views during a trip to the ballpark.
Most sections here have less than 20 rows of seating, and despite the far views fans can find some decent protection from the sun in the highest rows thanks to a small roof above. But if you don't want to sit towards the back in these already far sections, consider the third base side as these sections will see the shade first in the later afternoon.
Infield seats will be closest to the amenities on the terrace level (which are concentrated behind home plate), making them a better option over the sections down the line for those who appreciate a little more convenience.
Best Seats for Great Views of the Field
If the budget allows, you can find some of the very best views for a Phillies games in the premium Diamond Club seats located directly behind home plate. You will have unbeatable views of the batters box and on-deck circles, while having a straight away line of sight to the majority of the action which even lets you closely follow pitches as they break across the plate. In-seat wait service is an additional perk which keeps you in your seat rather than making trips to the concourse for food and beverage. We prefer sitting a bit higher here to provide a more expansive range of vision, and recommend opting for seats in rows 12 and higher of Diamond Club sections C, D, and E.
For a more affordable option on the lower seating tier, great views can also be found in the sections near the dugouts down the first and third base lines. Rows 15-30 give you a good seating height for seeing almost any area on the field in sections 115-117 and 130-132, and also keep you closer to the top of the section where the concourse entry tunnels are located. Seats in the single digit rows get you impressively close to the infield, but walks to the concourse for food and beverage will keep you away from your seat for a while due to the longer walk. To limit the impact of the netting behind home plate while staying as close to home plate as possible, opt for section 114 or 133.
With prime seating height and amazing sight lines, its hard not to love the 200 level sections for watching a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park. Although for those who want to spend as much time as possible in the actual seats rather than walking to and from the concourse, you will want to think twice about seats in sections directly behind home plate. Concourse entryways are non-existent between sections 219-224, so a trip to the restroom means a good amount time away from the action on the field. Instead, opt for seats in sections 217-218 or 226-227 which still have excellent angles to the field while keeping you closer to the amenities on the concourse.
Further down the third base line on the 200 level, you can find excellent value on seats with great views in sections 233-235. You'll have the same optimal viewing height from the ballpark's second seating tier, and the great part about these seats is the angle of seats which has you perfectly facing the middle of the diamond. As these sections are on the west side of the ballpark, you'll also have much less time with the sun in your eyes compared to fans sitting down the first base line. Small seating sections here also helps with shorter trips to the restrooms and concessions.
If you are searching for Phillies tickets on a budget and find yourself limited to the upper deck, you will want to target options on the 300 level as the higher 400 level seats have more of a birds eye view and more railings to contend with. Some of the better options on the 300 deck are sections 324-326, which keep you close to the infield, face the heart of the diamond, and also put the sun at your back sooner for a day game at Citizens Bank Park.
